Color My Wall, Color My Wardrobe

[caption id="attachment_1664" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Color My Wall, Color My Wardrobe..!"]Color My Wall and Wardrobe - The Impact of Color in My World[/caption] How does color impact your life, or conversely, how does the lack of color impact your world? So many of us are wearing basic black for one reason or another - to minimize curves, to achieve a classy, classic, or dressy look, to simplify wardrobe decisions or all of the above. Wearing black is popular, not only to high stylers, but also serves as a default to us bodacious ladies seeking to achieve a trimmer effect. How about your walls? Is there a difference in how you use color to jazz up your living space than how you decorate your bod? For many, the answer to that is yes, there is a distinct difference. No matter what the answer to your questions above, if you *do* love color and want more of it on your walls and in your wardrobe, we have the answer to both..! For every piece of wearable art we have designed here, there is a painting behind it. So far, the following paintings have found their own self expression in a silk scarf.. "Champagne Dreams" "Firecracker Love" "Midnight Ocean" "Ocean Swell" "Patchwork Sky" "Summer Daze" Let us know your fav image from Sheryl Brown Art that you would like to see in a scarf, and we'll make it happen..! Just check the Galleries to see all the various images, and don't forget to like us on Facebook too ;) www.facebook.com/SherylBrownArt So with all of the above in consideration, it begs the question, do you have enough color in your life? How does it feel to you to be missing more color in what you wear? Do you feel a lack of oomph? Do you feel too sober, dull or blah? Add your comments below, and let's talk..!

I love certain colors only, I lean more towards reds, blacks, white, blue and some brown. I don’t have a lot of orange, purple, yellow, or green in my wardrobe, or pink.

Red is a power color, blue means strength, brown tones I hear coincide with earthiness. White is my favorite go to color for tops in the summer especially with the summer heat here in Kansas the way it is. I like black because it slims the girls down a little and I stay away from anything that has horizontal stripes.

As far as my house is concerned I am dying to give my house a French country look. Lot’s of blue’s, whites and subtle yellows.

I LOVE wearing color. I have actually been told to turn it down a bit. I like things with patterns, bright colors and well anything that stands out.

Black is nice, and I do have a black suit, even when I wear black and white I have to add some color in the form of jewelry!

Lately I have been wearing lots of pinks. Usually I am a purple gal, but for some reason pink is calling my name.

I will most certainly do that Sheryl. I am dying to redecorate this house. I will post my progress in my Facebook albums when I get there. :)

Sheryl,

I’ve never really liked black for clothes until a few years ago. Navy was my “black” as a basic. Though I tend to go in stages and explore and then move on to something else, as far as clothes go. When I’m feeling happy fit, I wear a lot of red. When I’m in business mode, purple.

Purple is my favorite color. Greens, my second fave.

As for my house and decor… I don’t really have a white wall in my home. I love color. I was the kid with the big box of Crayolas growing up! My living room walls are a hue pumpkin.

Great to see so many comments! Really nice job kicking off our “Sensational Summer Blog Boost!!” :)

So true..! When we have those sunshine colors to look at, even on a card or out the window, it lifts our spirits, even if we don’t wear those colors. As I recall, black is all colors with pigment, and white is all colors with light. Works for me ;) Thanks for commenting, Mom ;)

Lovely to read your color experience, Keri..! When you’re happy and fit you wear red, love it ;) And could we ever get enough purple or green?

Thanks for all your fabulous promotion of this very creative idea you had for all of us to get our blogs boosting. It was my privilege getting to be the one to kick it off!

Looking forward the next in the series..

Thanks, Sheryl, saw both responses. Here’s a blog post I wrote a couple of years ago. While it’s been awhile, the color details about brands are still relevant. Here’s the link. http://debbielaskey.blogspot.com/2011/09/colors-role-in-brand-marketing.html
