Spring Adventure

Spring Adventure

"Spring Adventure" is painted on an 8x10" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Portrait orientation.

The colors used in this painting include shades of turquoise, light blue, mid blue, cobalt blue, peach, teal green, deep emerald green, grass green, lime green, sage green, toast brown, rust red and orange.

This work is available as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.

I painted "Spring Adventure" as a demo during a painting class held at a local art show. At the same time, I also painted "Evening Adventure," which makes a good pairing with this one.

Interestingly enough, I was using the excess paint from the class as I went along, so the colors ended up being a bit random. I quite liked the results.

The name of the painting came from the name of the event, so that added an extra bit of fun.

The time might be late or early, the season is likely Spring. The hillside going up to the mountains is a riot of color, and the turquoise sky boasts a peach and lime green explosion of cloud.

There is enough bright green to represent new growth, and enough darkening in the edges of the sky and distant mountain ranges to suggest that either sunrise or sunset is near to hand.
