"River Blues" is another new "older one," that patiently awaited its day in the sun along with many others. Sometime after I painted it, I was inspired to do "All About Blueberries." They seem to go well together in my eyes. What do you think?
The wavy cobalt swath running in a curving horizontal path near the center feels like water to me, but it could also be rolling hills at night. The white splash below it really makes me think of waves, but you might feel snow.
Large circular shapes might feel like bubbles as if you had an underwater view, or maybe this is utterly a fantasy land, and anything goes.
Blues are the predominant colors, but varying portions of purple, magenta and lemon yellow create excellent contrast. There's also a light and dark contrast.
Light and movement prevail in this whimsical abstract.
