Pulsation of Life
$0.00
"Pulsation of Life" is painted on a 30x40" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Portrait orientation.
The colors used in this painting include shades of deep cadmium red with creamy beige, peach, salmon and highlights of white.
This work is available as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.
When I painted this, it was one of my largest creations, in my most atypical colors. In addition, I painted with the largest brush I own.
Paint was squished straight out of the tubes in large quantities and swept across the canvas in great movements. It is very textured, and needs to be seen in person to be completely appreciated. Roughly in the center is a shape that makes me think of a wishbone.
This large painting was selected to be shown in a local winery, at which time I decided to paint a set of three 12x12" inch canvases to serve as a complement. These three are "Make a Wish," "Mystery of Life" and "Pinnacle Falls," each with a different ratio of red and creamy beige.
"Pulsation of Life" is predominantly red with significant bands of creamy beige and just a hint of peach, salmon and white highlights.
Red is an activating color. What are you activated to accomplish as you look at this artwork? What feelings does this work evoke for you?
