Life After Life

Life After Life

"Life After Life" is painted on a 16x20" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Landscape orientation.

The colors used in this painting include shades of lemon yellow, orange, red, rose, fuchsia, magenta, lavender, purple, grey, blue grey, periwinkle, mid blue, dark blue, forest green, teal green, mint green, sage green and grey green with white and light blue.

This work is available as a Silk Scarf and as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.

The start of this painting was laying down 3 primary colors with white and charcoal grey just to see how many shades I could come up with. It is the first of the series of acrylic paintings that started in 2000 after a lapse of much of any art work.

Little did I know what was lurking in the depths of this work.

Many people see an ocean or a forest in the teal green side, with blue mountains to the other side. Water or forest below and bright yellow and raspberry red skies above. Is there a figure in the midst?

A great deal of symbolism lies in the swaths of bold color. It can be whatever you want it to be.

The cycle of life is evident, in all its forms. Warm and cool, bold and subtle, happy and brooding, new life and loss. In the end, we do have "Life After Life."
