Kim's Valentine Heart

Kim's Valentine Heart

"Kim's Valentine Heart" is painted on a 16x20" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Landscape orientation.

The colors used in this painting include shades of magenta, lavender, rose and white.

This work is available as a Silk Scarf and as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.

The bold strokes and shades in this painting are the ultimate in abstract. Though it appears to have many shades of deep raspberry magenta, lavender and rose, all of these colors are created by one tube of magenta and a tube of white. White makes the magenta very cool and bluish.

There is definitely an electric pulsing in this work. Great swaths of white provide an extreme contrast to the jolts of magenta.

This painting was named by one of my early fans, though Kim's everywhere who love this painting own it as named after them.

Looking at this will definitely get you going, hopefully in a focused way. Even though it is almost wild, the pulsations could be thought of as somewhat regular and paced rather than frenetic. This one marches to its own beat and does not conform.

There's nothing monotonous here.

But I'd like you to tell me your take on it.
