Cherry Blossom Two

Cherry Blossom Two

"Cherry Blossom Two" is painted on an 8x10" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Portrait orientation.

The colors used in this painting include shades of pale pink, deep rose pink, grey blue, periwinkle, lavender and white with slate blue outline.

This work is available as a silk scarf and as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.

When I saw that an earlier painting, "Cherry Blossom Northwest," looked more like a whole tree than close up blossoms, I made another venture to paint cherry blossoms. This time, my efforts yielded something even more abstract, like blown up petals, but not in the actual shape of a cherry blossom.

Even more fun, after I was done, I saw a few hearts here and there embedded in the work. That puts the biggest smile on my face, even though in my younger years, I never considered myself much of a heart person. It turns out I actually am.

The feeling from "Cherry Blossom Two" is warm and whimsical, with cool blues and cool pinks in shapes that almost resemble balloons.
