Chakra Dance
$45.00
"Chakra Dance" is painted on an 8x10" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Portrait orientation.
The colors used in this painting include shades of violet, raspberry maroon, scarlet red, marigold orange, yellow, green, turquoise, blue, purple, lavender, charcoal black and very subtle highlights of white.
This work is available as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.
"Chakra Dance" is the second in the Chakra Series, and was started within minutes of finishing "Chakra Shower." It was completed soon after. It was painted in direct response to the feeling that I'd overworked the first one. I did not copy the color arrangement exactly, but found myself making what I though might be improvements in the sequence of hues.
I was pleased enough with the results of the second one, but discovered they each stand alone, and neither is better than the other.
Chakra Dance is decidedly more sedate as far as movement. The colors curve more gradually, giving a more grounded feeling.
I frequently enjoy showing people the two side by side, asking which they like better and seeing if there are any personality distinctions that might be revealed by people's preferences.
It could be that personalities that are based more in concrete realities lean more to "Chakra Dance" and those who are more abstract prefer "Chakra Shower." I would welcome your input on this!
