Deep Sky

Deep Sky

"Deep Sky" is painted on an 8x10" Canvas with Acrylic paint, in Portrait orientation.

The colors used in this small painting include shades of teal green, jade green, blue grey, deep blue and deep turquoise teal with hints of white streaks.

This work is available as a Silk Scarf and as Fine Art Giclee Reproductions on Paper or Canvas.

Here's a simple abstract that conveys mostly sky in strong, horizontal streaks of quiet colors above the crevasse of two somewhat steep mountain slopes. The painting itself is rather primitive, just beyond two dimensional.

There is a glimmer of turquoise and blue water at the bottom, reflecting some of the sky. The sky and water show most of the texture, with the mountains darker, the solid earth contrasting against the heavens.

The feeling is meditative, as at dusk. A quiet, solid energy prevails in spite of the multi layered texture of the sky. It is a study in turquoise teal.

The repeat of the pattern for the scarf design gives a bold geometric effect with strong lines.
